In the previous weblog I wrote about the deal that FC Barcelona closed with
the Chinese company Intersports.
Smart move
I think it is a very smart move by both parties.
FC Barcelona puts allot of effort in getting socially accepted by the
Chinese society and I agree with them.
China’s population counts 1,336,718,015 people.
That represents a full 20% of the world's population so one in every five
people on the planet is a resident of China.
Let’s say that 3 hundred million Chinese people don’t watch soccer, or
don’t know about it.
This means that still 1 billion Chinese people watch soccer, or know about
it.
This is a crazy amount of people.When you get introduced into its society
the right way, you as organisation can make huge amounts of money. By selling
Shirts, Shoe’s, Shorts, souvenirs, jackets, equipment even jewellery.
Larger focus group
This happens a lot lately.
Company’s open new shops, businesses in countries like China because there
are a lot more people to sell to.
So when you broadcast one ad in let’s say America you get 100.000 viewers.
And eventually 50.000 people will buy the product.
When you broadcast the commercial in China you get let’s say 250.000
viewers.
Eventually 100.000 people will buy your products.
You see that because there’s a larger population in China you have to do
less effort for the same or even better results.
